About Me

I am an MA student and freelance proofreader from Leeds, via London. I’ve also work as a copywriter, and have had my own blog for six years.

I’m passionate about English language, spelling, and grammar. My goal is to make your work the best it can be.

I have five years of professional proofreading experience, and I’ve edited everything from 100,000 word book manuscripts to short personal statements, as well as academic work in areas such as Business and Geography. I also volunteer for Distributed Proofreaders (DP), a website that converts public domain, out-of-copyright, and out-of-print books to “electronic texts” that can be read by people via Project Gutenberg.

I’ve always been a bit of a stickler for spelling – I spot the details that others miss. I’m the person who’s always correcting little grammar mistakes. Annoying? Yes. But that’s the kind of characteristic you need to be the best at checking other people’s work.

It can be frustrating when the only thing between you and the result you want is a bit of tedious checking. I’m here to take away some of the strain, and make sure that what you produce can’t be marked down for simple spelling and style errors.
